Willow Springs Winery Summer Wedding, Stouffville

On July 4, 2015, I had a privilege to document a beautifully delicate wedding of Hilary & Kevin. Their story is not very typical, but it definitely reassures you that if it’s meant to be, it will be. Hilary & Kevin dated when they were just teenagers. Nonetheless, “youth is not a time of life; it is a state of mind” and back then neither Hilary nor Kevin truly realized how lucky they were to find each other that early in their lives. It took them years of separation to really appreciate the perfect gift that was sent from above – an eternal and unconditional love for each other. This time around the couple did not waste any time: they moved in together in September 2014, bought an adorable sweetheart of a dog in October (you can spot Rylie in some of the photos ;) ) and got engaged a month later.

“We moved together fast, but had already known each other and moving in together made us grow closer.” – Hilary

Hilary & Kevin are very radiant and kind souls, who love spending time with families, going to a cottage and being on the water (hence their picturesque and rather intimate outdoor wedding ceremony right in between a pond and some gorgeous vineyards). The couple’s favorite things inspired and formed their simple and light wedding style: country music, rustic details, natural textures, and pastel colours.

Wedding ceremony and reception took place at the charming Willow Springs Winery in Stouffville, Ontario. It was an afternoon sun-shining-bright-like-a-diamond ceremony, so we all got some nice tan and a healthy doze of vitamin D. There were so many personal touches in ceremony and reception details, starting from the ceremony floral arrangements carefully assembled and placed by groomsmen, bride’s and groom’s mothers, and finishing with the most adorable and thoughtful wedding favours – cute little jars filled with strawberry jam made by the bride. White hydrangeas, lilies and light pink rose petals definitely added some flair to beautiful natural surroundings. A three-tier pink rose and white baby’s breath adorned wedding cake proved once and for all that “simplicity is the ultimate sophistication”. The whole day was filled with warmth, joy, smiles and lots of delicious wine.

Love,

-Eva.

Country Heritage Park Ontario Spring Wedding: Rachel & Scott

On May 18, 2014, I had a pleasure of second shooting a very charming wedding of Rachel & Scott for Reannan Ross Photography. The wedding ceremony and reception took place at a very special location - Country Heritage Park, 8560 Tremaine Road, Milton, Ontario. The park is truly a hidden gem with "30 unique historical buildings, 20,000 artifacts and its striking Niagara Escarpment surroundings". You do not really need a time machine anymore to see what rural living looked and felt like over 180 years ago, all those old barns, houses, shops, church, gas station, schoolhouse and even women's institute, will likely make you want to lose your shoes, put on some flowy cotton dress  and embrace the beautiful reality. All in all, the location is great for every bride & groom who appreciate authentic rustic details and just want to have a great time in the warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Love,

Eva.
